I can’t count the number of times I’ve encountered that phrase when meeting prospects for the first time. After I’ve been downloaded on how successful their companies have been and are, it slays me when prospects ask for the world and tell you they don’t have a lot of money for you to design. It is beyond simply being a shrewd business person, it’s bewildering. Sure, it’s not rocket science, but designers and brand practitioners who’ve been educated and classically trained deserve the same respect towards their profession as architects, dentists, or even engineers.

I’m waiting in line at the DMV right now, so I’ll continue this later. I’ve got lots more to say about this. Stay tuned!
